The N.Y. or Federal government should not have any bearing where or how a place of worship should be built. We must be careful in supporting ideas that run counter to the U.S. constitution or we void all reason for being truly an American citizen. According to our constitution, the state has no business in religion or in property rights except to abridge wrongs committed by one against another via the court system. Once the state heads down the slippery slope of making rules on which religion is kosher we who are Papist, Christian Scientist, Mormon, Jewish, Buddhist, etc are surely to be looked upon as suspect.
